If you have a Public Service Announcement and you’re serious about reaching people, consider purchasing radio ads instead of sending your information to radio stations as a PSA. Public Service Announcements aren’t given very much airtime. They’re used as fill-ins when a paid ad isn’t available, so you won’t get your information out to the public very effectively. If you PURCHASE ads, the radio station will play them during the time that you choose. Try scheduling your PSA to run during block times. These usually consist of four-hour time slots, such as 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, or 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Popular radio shows play during these times, and people are listening while they’re driving to and from work. That’s a lot of people that will hear YOUR Public Service Announcement!
